A unique design of steam bent wood, that forms a natural spring in the wood itself.  They are wonderful to use, and fold flat for very convenient storage. 

To use: rotate the two halves open until they form a spring.

To store: simply fold flat. (recommended with 3x12, 4x12 or larger bowls)
